I agree with both the comments. Tejas is not yet proven aircraft though touted to be much better than JF17. But one features which will always work in tejas advantage in air-to-ground attack is its high maneouverability especially if requiring deep strike like in mountaineous regions. If the IAF does upgrade the next squardon (mark 2)of tejas with 90-100KN afterburner engines, then it will certainly have an edge over JF17.A lot depends upon what role are they used for. They are multi-role but not equal to each other in various role. Will see in next 2 years when tejas squardon operationalise. Till then JF17 rules un-opposed!

I agree with the first commentator (umair). The biggest difference between LCA and JF17 is that one is actually flying while the otherone is still struggling to get off the ground. If an aircraft cannot even fly then what's the point of it being the most advaned in the world. And I am an Indian not a Pakistani before you dismiss my comment.

the first thing is that the j-f17 is operated by pakistan now but the tajes are not conducted in indian air force because some high level authorities show their concearns on this project. Secondly the jf-17 under go many changes when it is built in pakistan. for this purpose the aggrements are finalized with italian and france firms. At present the jf-17 has edge on tages until they come in service
